Kaylee's new bed

Good bye to Kaylee's crib. We got her a "big-girl" bed in its place. She loves to play "on" it but sleeping "in it" is taking some time. The first week made me question my wisdom in wanting to do such a thing. We'd just get her down and she'd be back in our room. There is something to crib bars and staying put. We've now had two nights of her sleeping through the night. We want to get this down before we have a new baby to add to the mix.

  1. She looks so big and grown up sitting on her bed! Eventually, she'll fall alseep in her bed... maybe one day when she's really tired and playing on it, she'll fall asleep there - then she'll know it's for sleeping in :) until then... GOOD LUCK!! LOL.

  2. Yeah for Kaylee! Don't worry, she will definitely get used to it.

  3. You can put a child lock on the inside so she can't open the door. It may be hard for you but she'd be fine. We've also had to do nights where Rick (because that's who the kids would listen to) would need to sit outside with door for hours until they stopped coming out. You just quietly put the in bed again. The next night they don't fight it as much.

But by now, she may be fine, which I hope she is. We're going through the same thing with Charlie, but Darren shares a room so we put the sides back on and gave up. lol. No rush because there isn't a baby coming.
